We exist to help people come alive with Jesus, grow with Jesus and change the world with Jesus.
"All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."
We want to make new and healthy disciples of Jesus Christ. It's the process of being fully formed into the image of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-16 paints the picture beautifully – everyday Jesus followers equipped to build each other up until they all together begin to look more and more like Jesus. This is the one thing, more than anything else, that Jesus asked us to do as his disciples – to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20).
Discipleship is our one thing. How do we get there?
We call it Wplus2 – Worship, Groups, Serve
We believe that if we gather together to worship, meet in groups for fellowship and growth, and serve in our community together, that is when we will best reflect God's glory.
ABOUT GOD – We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of our lost world.
ABOUT THE BIBLE – We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error.
ABOUT HUMANITY – We believe that humans were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by their own efforts.
ABOUT SALVATION – We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his or her faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin.
ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN LIFE – We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word and daily yielding to the Spirit, every believer should mature and become conformed to the image of Christ.
ABOUT THE CHURCH – We believe the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith in the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to a lost world.
