We Need Community

Studies have repeatedly shown that those who live isolated lives are far more prone to sickness and even an earlier death than those who are connected in community. Leading an isolated, lonely life will leave you unfulfilled.

Throughout history, life has revolved around the community. Families, both immediate and extended, resided with one another or in close proximity to each other. Cities and towns were built with the concept of not only having needs provided within their limits but also with a particular amount of dependency upon one another. No individual or family could be completely self-sufficient. Each had a part to play in meeting the needs of others.

However, in the past fifty years the loss of community in American society is being felt in many areas. In the church, the loss of community is simply not acceptable. Jesus was part of a community. Our Bible is full of the importance of community. If we are to be the church Jesus intends, community must be of utmost importance.

Trinity's Mission

Our core mission as a church is to reach out in love to those who are distant from God and urge them to join us in the fantastic journey of becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.

Wherever you are on the spiritual continuum from skeptic to growing believer, our desire is to help you take steps forward in greater faith and greater surrender to God's will. And we think the best way to do this is TOGETHER!

Doing Life Together

Sequoia groups are small groups of approximately 10 to 15 people who meet bi-monthly in someone's home for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. They are for adults of all ages, stages of life, and levels of spiritual maturity. There IS a small group for YOU!

Sequoia - What's in a Name?

The Sequoia trees of the West Coast are mammoth-sized trees that reach amazing heights. But they never grow by themselves! They are always found growing in groves, where their interlocking root system gives them the foundation and stability to grow tall even in the midst of gale force winds. In a similar way, our small groups provide members with the support and encouragement that we all need to grow in our journey of faith. As we connect our lives with others, we find the stability and security to grow taller and stronger in Christ.

Group Link

Grouplink is the primary way to get connected into a group. At Grouplink, we don't place you in a group, you choose your own.

Grouplink is an hour and a half event where you can meet and connect with others in your area and stage of life to start a Sequoia group. The fun factor? Very high. The awkward factor? Way low! We try to make it as fun and easy as possible for you to meet up with existing or new groups. We provide you with lunch, free childcare, and opportunities to mingle.

When's the next Grouplink? Watch the Trinity Update! We have them regularly throughout the year — sually right after the 10:30am service. Can't wait? Feel free to call or email Mark Fuller at the church office if you want to get into a group NOW!
