CDC is a 15 year old non-profit, faith-based organization headquartered in Detroit. CDC's mission is to instill hope, faith and values through education, employment and economic development while inspiring individuals within the community to reach their highest potential as confident, productive and caring community leaders and citizens. Trinity partners with CDC in the following ministries: Back to School Extravaganza, Pride for Parents Christmas Store, Harvest Home Thanksgiving Boxes, Peaches and Greens Produce Market, Breakthrough, Flag Football and Neighborhood clean-up. JAARS: Partners in Bible Translation:

This is short term mission trip ideal for first timers or families with children. A variety of services can be provided at JAARS including office work, computers, vehicle maintenance, construction, childcare, cafeteria assistance, cleaning and sewing. Goal

Resourcing missionaries of Wycliffe Bible Translators so that the scriptures will be available to all people groups.

Tasks

A variety of services can be provided dependant on the skills of team members: computer, office work, landscaping, vehicle maintenance, construction, cleaning, painting, sewing, etc. The tasks will be tailored to the skills of the team.

Trip Description
  • Family friendly trip
  • Stay in apartments on campus or in your camper/tent
  • Meet retired and current Wycliffe missionaries
  • Serve and get to know our missionaries, Jack and Linda Henderson (60+ years of service)
  • Gain understanding of the impact of Bible translation in world evangelism/ discipleship and the vast array of support jobs that are involved

  • $600-700 per family (includes travel, food, and lodging)
