WALK LOCAL...REACH GLOBAL
Join us for this year's women's community outreach, "Walk Local...Reach Global" on Saturday, May 8, at the Summit on the Park in Canton, MI. Our goal is to link arms with women in our community to raise $25,000 for the care of orphans in Kenya, Ethiopia and Haiti. $20 of the $25 participant fee will go directly to orphan care. All monies raised will be administered and managed by World Orphans, who provide services to orphans worldwide and currently have crisis relief teams in Haiti (www.worldorphans.org).
The event will kick-off at 9:00 AM, rain or shine, with a scrumptious get-ready-to-walk breakfast! The walk will commence at 10:30 AM and conclude at 3:00 PM. Participants are flexible in the amount of time and distance they walk. We are encouraging 10 miles for those who are capable.

FoodPantry:
Trinity & Gleaners Food Bank partner together to offer free food distribution once a month for people living in Western Wayne County. We need approximately 42 volunteers per pantry.
Trinity's food pantry serves residents of Western Wayne county and Ypsilanti. Reservations can be made on Monday and Tuesday between 9:30 AM & 2:00 PM the week of the pantry by calling 734-459-9557 only.

Harvest Home:
This is a church wide event. Everyone from children to seniors gets involved. Boxes are distributed to Sherwood Village in Canton, Central Detroit Christian, and family and friends of Trinity. See the local outreach calendar for dates and service opportunities.
Gas Buy Down:
We believe in the value of showing the love of God in practical ways by doing acts of kindness for strangers or acquaintances. It is our goal to raise the level of interest and involvement in evangelism by promoting simple, "high grace, low risk" outreach opportunities. At the gas buy down we wash windows, pump gas and reduce the price of the gas by 20 cents per gallon. See the local outreach calendar for dates, location and service opportunities.
Salvation Army:
We assist the Salvation Army at Christmas time by taking a week of evenings to ring the bells at the Plymouth Kroger's. See the local outreach calendar for dates, location and service opportunities.
Global Family Rooms:
We partner with Chris Hardy one of Trinity's missionaries to serve international students on the campuses of Eastern Michigan University, Washtenaw Community College and the University of Michigan. Click here for more information.
Gleaners Food Bank:
Gleaner's motto is "nourishing communities by feeding hungry people". In addition to our Food Pantry partnership with Gleaners we also assist them by sorting and organizing donated foods they distribute to non-profit organizations. Angel Tree:
An estimated 2.3 million children have a Mom or Dad in prison. Angel Tree is a ministry that desires to reach out to these families and children of inmates with the love of Christ at Christmas time. Trinity partners in this ministry by providing 60 – 70 families with gifts. See the local outreach calendar for dates, location and service opportunities.
Operation Christmas Child:
Since 1993 Samaritan's Purse has sponsored Operation Christmas Child. This organization brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift — filled shoe boxes and the good news of God’s love. Trinity partners with this ministry of compassion by providing approximately 200 shoeboxes.
Serving Arab American Immigrants:
The AAF Center was formed to address the needs of the Arab community by providing English and citizenship classes. The center also offers a worship gathering on Friday evenings for the Arab community. This is a new service opportunity for Trinity.
